Efe 16th October 2021

I still cannot believe that I am writing this for my dearest sister but I take solace in Jesus Christ who did not leave us comfortless but gave us the Holy Spirit, whom I depend on today and draw strength to write this tribute though in tears but with joy that my beloved has gone to rest in the bosom of our Lord. The journey of our friendship started when I had to change school and in the New school, I met Edith my look-a-like, who shortly became my best friend and a sister. ( we had the privilege to present gifts to the then visiting Head of State General Gowon and Late President Eyadama.) Our Friendship blossomed and extended to our families. Edith was the epitome of simplicity and trust. She was unassuming, caring and fun-loving. Edith was fearless and outspoken with a soft voice but firm in her decisions about any situations she found herself in and took responsibility for her actions. Talking to her then was always refreshing and reassuring that we were both together in the spirit. The last time I spoke with her she did not let me know she was going through a lot and I never knew it was going to be my last time, so this came as a rude shock to me and my family. My prayer is that God will uplift, uphold and comfort the children she loved so most, our Mummy and us all in Jesus name amen. Edith, you live in our hearts!! Sleep on until we meet to part no more. I love you but Jesus loves you the most. Orhionsefe Obichere. Childhood Friend and Sister.
